Welcome to CGI 2013

Computer Graphics International (CGI) is one of the oldest annual international conferences on computer graphics. It is organized by the Computer Graphics Society (CGS). Researchers across the whole world are invited to share their experiences and novel achievements in various fields - like computer graphics and human-computer interaction. The upcoming CGI 2013, organized by the general chair Prof. F.-E. Wolter, celebrates its 30th anniversary and will be hosted by the Welfenlab, University of Hannover under the auspices of the prime minister of Lower Saxony, Germany.

The CGI 2013 is over. We thank all attendees for their support.

This year two awards were given for excellent publications. Due to the close decision the best paper committee decided to give a Best Paper Award and a Second Best Paper award.

Best Paper Award
Ufuk Celikcan, Gokcen Cimen, E. Bengu Kevinc and Tolga Capin for
"Attention-Aware Disparity Control in Interactive Environments"
Second Best Paper Award
Ruoguan Huang and John Keyser for
"Automated Sampling and Control of Gaseous Simulations"
Congratulation to the awarded authors!

Prof. Nadia Magnenat-Thalmann received an Achievement Award for her outstanding work and devotion to the CGI conference over the last thirty years. We would like to congratulate her and thank her for her continuous efforts.
